The Study and Research Center of the National Co.N.A.P.I. presents an in-depth overview of the ICT, digital and information technology sector, a constantly evolving sector that cuts across all other production systems.
The Report concisely and analytically collects the results of the “ICT, Digital and Information Technology” questionnaire administered to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the sector.
In addition to returning an updated view of the economic development and organizational transformation of the sector, the paper highlights the growing adoption of flexible work models – such as smart working – and advanced tools, such as artificial intelligence. At the same time, some recurring critical issues emerge: the difficulty in finding qualified figures, the urgent need to invest in continuing education, and a partial lack of collective bargaining for the sector, capable of recognizing tasks, skills and organizational peculiarities.
The study aims to offer a concrete contribution to the dialogue between the Social Partners, supporting the Labor Area of the National Co.N.A.P.I. in defining a contractual model more consistent with the reality of the sector, capable of combining innovation, sustainability and the centrality of the working person.
