NATIONAL COLLECTIVE BARGAINING

The National Collective Bargaining Agreement is the normative and contractual basis through which the Social Partners determine, in the relevant sectors, the essential basis of the employment relationship, which is regulated in regulatory and economic terms.

In essence, the National Collective Labor Agreement fulfills the main function of determining the structural and essential elements of the employment relationship and defines, by way of example:

  • The validity and scope of the contract;

  • The system of labor relations at the national, territorial or company level;

  • union rights;

  • The discipline relating to the establishment, conduct and termination of the employment relationship;

  • classification of personnel;

  • economic treatment;

  • The methods and rates of use of flexible forms of work;

  • leaves of absence, expectations, and leave of absence;

  • Behavioral and disciplinary standards;

  • occupational safety;

  • vocational training;

  • The definition of the specific areas that can be the subject of Level II bargaining.
